Each verse opens with the running Greek, an English translation, and a discourse note (its connective, relation, and role in the argument). Below follows the word-by-word breakdown in six tiers: gloss, case (color), parsing, syntax, semantic force, and a lexical note.

Discourse notes head each verse: relation · connective · clause-flow. Indentation marks prominence — flush-left = main line of argument; indented = supporting / subordinate material.

Theme

Praise becomes a program of household and civic integrity under a Davidic king.

Translation & textual notes

The Greek text of Psalms 100 follows the standard critical text of the Septuagint as established in the Rahlfs-Hanhart edition (Septuaginta, rev. ed. 2006), an ancient and public-domain text; the critical apparatus is not reproduced. This Davidic royal-ethical psalm turns praise into a program of household and civic integrity. The opening verse joins song and moral discrimination by singing of mercy and judgment, and the following lines map that commitment onto the king's own conduct: he wants to walk in a blameless way, rejects lawless practice, hates crookedness, and refuses both slanderers and the proud. The positive counterpart appears in the search for the faithful of the land, who may dwell and minister with him. The closing verse extends private integrity into public governance, imagining an early-morning purging of the city's wicked so that the Lord's city may be cleared of workers of lawlessness. Versification follows the LXX.
