1 Chronicles 27ΠΑΡΑΛΕΙΠΟΜΕΝΩΝ Α′ ΚΖ′

καὶ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ κατ' ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν χιλίαρχοι καὶ ἑκατόνταρχοι καὶ γραμματεῖς οἱ λειτουργοῦντες τῷ λαῷ καὶ εἰς πᾶν λόγον τοῦ βασιλέως κατὰ διαιρέσεις εἰς πᾶν λόγον τοῦ εἰσπορευομένου καὶ ἐκπορευομένου μῆνα ἐκ μηνὸς εἰς πάντας τοὺς μῆνας τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ διαίρεσις μία εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες

And the sons of Israel, according to their number, the heads of fathers’ houses, commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and their scribes, ministering to the people and for every matter of the king by divisions for every matter of those entering and going out, month by month through all the months of the year: each division was twenty-four thousand.

καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως τῆς πρώτης τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου Ιεσβοαμ ὁ τοῦ Ζαβδιηλ καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες

Over the division for the first month was Jashobeam son of Zabdiel; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Φαρες ἄρχων πάντων τῶν ἀρχόντων τῆς δυνάμεως τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου

He was from the sons of Perez, chief of all the commanders of the force for the first month.

καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ δευτέρου Δωδια ὁ Εχωχι καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες ἄρχοντες δυνάμεως

Over the division of the second month was Dodai the Ahohite; and over his division were twenty-four thousand, commanders of the force.

ὁ τρίτος τὸν μῆνα τὸν τρίτον Βαναιας ὁ τοῦ Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεὺς ὁ ἄρχων καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ τέσσαρες καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες

The third for the third month was Benaiah son of Jehoiada the priest, the chief; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

αὐτὸς Βαναιας δυνατώτερος τῶν τριάκοντα καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν τριάκοντα καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ Αμιζαβαθ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ

This Benaiah was mightier than the Thirty and over the Thirty; and over his division was Amizabad his son.

ὁ τέταρτος εἰς τὸν μῆνα τὸν τέταρτον Ασαηλ ὁ ἀδελφὸς Ιωαβ καὶ Ζαβδιας ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ τέσσαρες καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες

The fourth for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

ὁ πέμπτος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πέμπτῳ ὁ ἡγούμενος Σαμαωθ ὁ Ιεσραε καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι τέσσαρες χιλιάδες

The fifth for the fifth month was the leader Shamhuth the Izrahite; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

ὁ ἕκτος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἕκτῳ Οδουιας ὁ τοῦ Εκκης ὁ Θεκωίτης καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ τέσσαρες καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες

The sixth for the sixth month was Oduias son of Ekkesh the Tekoite; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

ὁ ἕβδομος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ Χελλης ὁ ἐκ Φαλλους ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Εφραιμ καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ τέσσαρες καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες

The seventh for the seventh month was Helez from Pallu, from the sons of Ephraim; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

ὁ ὄγδοος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ὀγδόῳ Σοβοχαι ὁ Ισαθι τῷ Ζαραϊ καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ τέσσαρες καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες

The eighth for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Husathite, belonging to the Zerahite line; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

ὁ ἔνατος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἐνάτῳ Αβιεζερ ὁ ἐξ Αναθωθ ἐκ γῆς Βενιαμιν καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ τέσσαρες καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες

The ninth for the ninth month was Abiezer from Anathoth, from the land of Benjamin; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

ὁ δέκατος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ δεκάτῳ Μεηρα ὁ ἐκ Νετουφατ τῷ Ζαραϊ καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ τέσσαρες καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες

The tenth for the tenth month was Maharai from Netophah, belonging to the Zerahite line; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

ὁ ἑνδέκατος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἑνδεκάτῳ Βαναιας ὁ ἐκ Φαραθων τῶν υἱῶν Εφραιμ καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ τέσσαρες καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες

The eleventh for the eleventh month was Benaiah from Pirathon, from the sons of Ephraim; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

ὁ δωδέκατος εἰς τὸν μῆνα τὸν δωδέκατον Χολδαι ὁ Νετωφατι τῷ Γοθονιηλ καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ τέσσαρες καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες

The twelfth for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, belonging to Othniel; and over his division were twenty-four thousand.

καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν φυλῶν Ισραηλ τῷ Ρουβην ἡγούμενος Ελιεζερ ὁ τοῦ Ζεχρι τῷ Συμεων Σαφατιας ὁ τοῦ Μααχα

And over the tribes of Israel: for Reuben, Eliezer son of Zichri; for Simeon, Shephatiah son of Maacah.

τῷ Λευι Ασαβιας ὁ τοῦ Καμουηλ τῷ Ααρων Σαδωκ

For Levi, Hashabiah son of Kemuel; for Aaron, Zadok.

τῷ Ιουδα Ελιαβ τῶν ἀδελφῶν Δαυιδ τῷ Ισσαχαρ Αμβρι ὁ τοῦ Μιχαηλ

For Judah, Eliab of the brothers of David; for Issachar, Omri son of Michael.

τῷ Ζαβουλων Σαμαιας ὁ τοῦ Αβδιου τῷ Νεφθαλι Ιεριμωθ ὁ τοῦ Εσριηλ

For Zebulun, Shemaiah son of Obadiah; for Naphtali, Jerimoth son of Azriel.

τῷ Εφραιμ Ωση ὁ τοῦ Οζιου τῷ ἡμίσει φυλῆς Μανασση Ιωηλ ὁ τοῦ Φαδαια

For Ephraim, Hoshea son of Ozias; for the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joel son of Pedaiah.

τῷ ἡμίσει φυλῆς Μανασση τῷ ἐν τῇ Γαλααδ Ιαδδαι ὁ τοῦ Ζαβδιου τοῖς υἱοῖς Βενιαμιν Ασιηλ ὁ τοῦ Αβεννηρ

For the half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iaddai son of Zabdios; for the sons of Benjamin, Asiel son of Abner.

τῷ Δαν Αζαραηλ ὁ τοῦ Ιωραμ οὗτοι πατριάρχαι τῶν φυλῶν Ισραηλ

For Dan, Azarel son of Joram. These were the tribal chiefs of Israel.

καὶ οὐκ ἔλαβεν Δαυιδ τὸν ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ κάτω ὅτι κύριος εἶπεν πληθῦναι τὸν Ισραηλ ὡς τοὺς ἀστέρας τοῦ οὐρανοῦ

And David did not take their number from twenty years old and under, because the Lord had said he would multiply Israel like the stars of heaven.

καὶ Ιωαβ ὁ τοῦ Σαρουια ἤρξατο ἀριθμεῖν ἐν τῷ λαῷ καὶ οὐ συνετέλεσεν καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τούτοις ὀργὴ ἐπὶ τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ οὐ κατεχωρίσθη ὁ ἀριθμὸς ἐν βιβλίῳ λόγων τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῦ βασιλέως Δαυιδ

And Joab son of Zeruiah began to count among the people, but he did not finish; and because of this wrath came upon Israel, and the number was not entered in the book of the chronicles of King David.

καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν θησαυρῶν τοῦ βασιλέως Ασμωθ ὁ τοῦ Ωδιηλ καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν θησαυρῶν τῶν ἐν ἀγρῷ καὶ ἐν ταῖς κώμαις καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἐποικίοις καὶ ἐν τοῖς πύργοις Ιωναθαν ὁ τοῦ Οζιου

And over the king’s treasures was Asmoth son of Odiel; and over the treasures in the field, in the villages, in the settlements, and in the towers was Jonathan son of Uzziah.

ἐπὶ δὲ τῶν γεωργούντων τὴν γῆν τῶν ἐργαζομένων Εσδρι ὁ τοῦ Χολουβ

And over those farming the ground, the workers of the soil, was Esdri son of Choloub.

καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν χωρίων Σεμεϊ ὁ ἐκ Ραμα καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν θησαυρῶν τῶν ἐν τοῖς χωρίοις τοῦ οἴνου Ζαχρι ὁ τοῦ Σεφνι

And over the vineyards was Shimei from Ramah; and over the wine stores in the vineyards was Zachri son of Sephni.

καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν ἐλαιώνων καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν συκαμίνων τῶν ἐν τῇ πεδινῇ Βαλανας ὁ Γεδωρίτης ἐπὶ δὲ τῶν θησαυρῶν τοῦ ἐλαίου Ιωας

And over the olive groves and over the sycamores in the lowland was Balanas the Gedorite; and over the stores of oil was Joash.

καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν βοῶν τῶν νομάδων τῶν ἐν τῷ Ασιδων Σατραις ὁ Σαρωνίτης καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν βοῶν τῶν ἐν τοῖς αὐλῶσιν Σωφατ ὁ τοῦ Αδλι

And over the cattle grazing in Sharon was Satrais the Sharonite; and over the cattle in the valleys was Shaphat son of Adli.

ἐπὶ δὲ τῶν καμήλων Ωβιλ ὁ Ισμαηλίτης ἐπὶ δὲ τῶν ὄνων Ιαδιας ὁ ἐκ Μεραθων

And over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite; and over the donkeys was Jadias from Merathon.

καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν προβάτων Ιαζιζ ὁ Αγαρίτης πάντες οὗτοι προστάται ὑπαρχόντων Δαυιδ τοῦ βασιλέως

And over the sheep was Jaziz the Hagarite. All these were the rulers of the possessions of King David.

καὶ Ιωναθαν ὁ πατράδελφος Δαυιδ σύμβουλος ἄνθρωπος συνετὸς καὶ γραμματεὺς αὐτός καὶ Ιιηλ ὁ τοῦ Αχαμανι μετὰ τῶν υἱῶν τοῦ βασιλέως

And Jonathan, David’s uncle, was counselor, a prudent man and a scribe; and Jehiel son of Hachmoni was with the king’s sons.

καὶ Αχιτοφελ σύμβουλος τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ Χουσι πρῶτος φίλος τοῦ βασιλέως

And Ahithophel was counselor to the king, and Hushai was the king’s chief friend.

καὶ μετὰ τοῦτον Αχιτοφελ ἐχόμενος Ιωδαε ὁ τοῦ Βαναιου καὶ Αβιαθαρ καὶ Ιωαβ ἀρχιστράτηγος τοῦ βασιλέως

And after him were Jehoiada son of Benaiah and Abiathar; and Joab was commander of the king’s army.
