The Book of Psalms, Chapter 24ΨΑΛΜΟΙ ΚΔ′

Each verse opens with the running Greek, an English translation, and a discourse note (its connective, relation, and role in the argument). Below follows the word-by-word breakdown in six tiers: gloss, case (color), parsing, syntax, semantic force, and a lexical note.

Case Nominative Genitive Dative Accusative Vocative Verb (no case) Indeclinable

Discourse notes head each verse: relation · connective · clause-flow. Indentation marks prominence — flush-left = main line of argument; indented = supporting / subordinate material.

Theme

An alphabetic prayer for guidance, forgiveness, and covenant faith amid waiting and trouble.

Translation & textual notes

The Greek text of Psalms 24 follows the standard Septuagint form of the psalm traditionally numbered Psalm 25 in the Hebrew tradition. This alphabetically shaped prayer of trust and instruction lifts the speaker's soul to the Lord, asks not to be shamed before enemies, seeks to learn the Lord's ways, pleads that youthful sins not be remembered, and reflects on the Lord's goodness toward the meek and toward those who fear him. The final movement returns to urgent personal distress, asking for mercy, forgiveness, and deliverance, before the closing verse broadens the lament into a corporate petition for Israel's redemption from every affliction. Versification follows the LXX.
