The Book of Ezekiel, Chapter 41ΙΕΖΕΚΙΗΛ ΜΑ′

καὶ εἰσήγαγέν με εἰς τὸν ναόν ᾧ διεμέτρησεν τὸ αιλαμ πηχῶν ἓξ τὸ πλάτος ἔνθεν καὶ πηχῶν ἓξ τὸ εὖρος τοῦ αιλαμ ἔνθεν

And he brought me into the temple and measured the porch: six cubits the width on this side and six cubits the width on that side.

καὶ τὸ εὖρος τοῦ πυλῶνος πηχῶν δέκα καὶ ἐπωμίδες τοῦ πυλῶνος πηχῶν πέντε ἔνθεν καὶ πηχῶν πέντε ἔνθεν καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὸ μῆκος αὐτοῦ πηχῶν τεσσαράκοντα καὶ τὸ εὖρος πηχῶν εἴκοσι

And the width of the gateway was ten cubits, and the shoulders of the gateway were five cubits on this side and five cubits on that side; and he measured its length, forty cubits, and its width, twenty cubits.

καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τὴν ἐσωτέραν καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὸ αιλ τοῦ θυρώματος πηχῶν δύο καὶ τὸ θύρωμα πηχῶν ἓξ καὶ τὰς ἐπωμίδας τοῦ θυρώματος πηχῶν ἑπτὰ ἔνθεν καὶ πηχῶν ἑπτὰ ἔνθεν

And he entered into the inner court and measured the sideposts of the doorway, two cubits, and the doorway, six cubits, and the shoulders of the doorway, seven cubits on this side and seven cubits on that side.

καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὸ μῆκος τῶν θυρῶν πηχῶν τεσσαράκοντα καὶ εὖρος πηχῶν εἴκοσι κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ ναοῦ καὶ εἶπεν τοῦτο τὸ ἅγιον τῶν ἁγίων

And he measured the length of the doors, forty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits, before the face of the temple, and he said, 'This is the holy of holies.'

καὶ διεμέτρησεν τὸν τοῖχον τοῦ οἴκου πηχῶν ἓξ καὶ τὸ εὖρος τῆς πλευρᾶς πηχῶν τεσσάρων κυκλόθεν

And he measured the wall of the house, six cubits, and the width of each side-chamber, four cubits, all around.

καὶ τὰ πλευρὰ πλευρὸν ἐπὶ πλευρὸν τριάκοντα καὶ τρεῖς δίς καὶ διάστημα ἐν τῷ τοίχῳ τοῦ οἴκου ἐν τοῖς πλευροῖς κύκλῳ τοῦ εἶναι τοῖς ἐπιλαμβανομένοις ὁρᾶν ὅπως τὸ παράπαν μὴ ἅπτωνται τῶν τοίχων τοῦ οἴκου

And the side chambers, chamber upon chamber, were thirty-three in two stories, and there was an offset in the wall of the house around the side chambers, so that those who were attached to them might have support without laying hold of the walls of the house.

καὶ τὸ εὖρος τῆς ἀνωτέρας τῶν πλευρῶν κατὰ τὸ πρόσθεμα ἐκ τοῦ τοίχου πρὸς τὴν ἀνωτέραν κύκλῳ τοῦ οἴκου ὅπως διαπλατύνηται ἄνωθεν καὶ ἐκ τῶν κάτωθεν ἀναβαίνωσιν ἐπὶ τὰ ὑπερῷα καὶ ἐκ τῶν μέσων ἐπὶ τὰ τριώροφα

And the width of the upper side chambers increased according to the projection from the wall toward the upper level around the house, so that they widened upward; and from the lower level one went up to the upper rooms, and from the middle to the third story.

καὶ τὸ θραελ τοῦ οἴκου ὕψος κύκλῳ διάστημα τῶν πλευρῶν ἴσον τῷ καλάμῳ πήχεων ἓξ διάστημα

And the raised platform of the house had a height all around; the base of the side chambers was one full reed, six cubits.

καὶ εὖρος τοῦ τοίχου τῆς πλευρᾶς ἔξωθεν πηχῶν πέντε καὶ τὰ ἀπόλοιπα ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν πλευρῶν τοῦ οἴκου

And the width of the outer wall of the side chamber was five cubits, and the remaining space was between the side chambers of the house.

καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ἐξεδρῶν εὖρος πηχῶν εἴκοσι τὸ περιφερὲς τῷ οἴκῳ κύκλῳ

And between the chambers there was a width of twenty cubits all around the house.

καὶ αἱ θύραι τῶν ἐξεδρῶν ἐπὶ τὸ ἀπόλοιπον τῆς θύρας τῆς μιᾶς τῆς πρὸς βορρᾶν καὶ ἡ θύρα ἡ μία πρὸς νότον καὶ τὸ εὖρος τοῦ φωτὸς τοῦ ἀπολοίπου πηχῶν πέντε πλάτος κυκλόθεν

And the doors of the chambers opened onto the remaining space, one door toward the north and one door toward the south, and the width of the lighted remaining space was five cubits all around.

καὶ τὸ διορίζον κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ ἀπολοίπου ὡς πρὸς θάλασσαν πηχῶν ἑβδομήκοντα πλάτος τοῦ τοίχου τοῦ διορίζοντος πήχεων πέντε εὖρος κυκλόθεν καὶ μῆκος αὐτοῦ πήχεων ἐνενήκοντα

And the partition opposite the remaining space toward the sea was seventy cubits wide, and the wall of the partition was five cubits wide all around, and its length was ninety cubits.

καὶ διεμέτρησεν κατέναντι τοῦ οἴκου μῆκος πηχῶν ἑκατόν καὶ τὰ ἀπόλοιπα καὶ τὰ διορίζοντα καὶ οἱ τοῖχοι αὐτῶν μῆκος πηχῶν ἑκατόν

And he measured opposite the house a length of one hundred cubits, and the remaining space and the partition and their walls, a length of one hundred cubits.

καὶ τὸ εὖρος κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ οἴκου καὶ τὰ ἀπόλοιπα κατέναντι πηχῶν ἑκατόν

And the width in front of the house and of the remaining space opposite it was one hundred cubits.

καὶ διεμέτρησεν μῆκος τοῦ διορίζοντος κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ ἀπολοίπου τῶν κατόπισθεν τοῦ οἴκου ἐκείνου καὶ τὰ ἀπόλοιπα ἔνθεν καὶ ἔνθεν πήχεων ἑκατὸν τὸ μῆκος καὶ ὁ ναὸς καὶ αἱ γωνίαι καὶ τὸ αιλαμ τὸ ἐξώτερον

And he measured the length of the partition in front of the remaining space at the back of that house, and the remaining spaces on this side and on that side, one hundred cubits in length, together with the temple and the corners and the outer porch.

πεφατνωμένα καὶ αἱ θυρίδες δικτυωταί ὑποφαύσεις κύκλῳ τοῖς τρισὶν ὥστε διακύπτειν καὶ ὁ οἶκος καὶ τὰ πλησίον ἐξυλωμένα κύκλῳ καὶ τὸ ἔδαφος καὶ ἐκ τοῦ ἐδάφους ἕως τῶν θυρίδων καὶ αἱ θυρίδες ἀναπτυσσόμεναι τρισσῶς εἰς τὸ διακύπτειν

It was paneled, and the latticed windows and the projecting ledges were all around on the three sides so as to look through; and the house and the surrounding parts were wainscoted all around, and from the floor up to the windows, and the windows opened inward in triple fashion for looking through.

καὶ ἕως πλησίον τῆς ἐσωτέρας καὶ ἕως τῆς ἐξωτέρας καὶ ἐφ' ὅλον τὸν τοῖχον κύκλῳ ἐν τῷ ἔσωθεν καὶ ἐν τῷ ἔξωθεν

And up to the part near the inner area and up to the outer area, and upon the whole wall all around, within and without,

γεγλυμμένα χερουβιν καὶ φοίνικες ἀνὰ μέσον χερουβ καὶ χερουβ δύο πρόσωπα τῷ χερουβ

there were carved cherubim and palm trees, with a palm tree between cherub and cherub; and each cherub had two faces.

πρόσωπον ἀνθρώπου πρὸς τὸν φοίνικα ἔνθεν καὶ ἔνθεν καὶ πρόσωπον λέοντος πρὸς τὸν φοίνικα ἔνθεν καὶ ἔνθεν διαγεγλυμμένος ὅλος ὁ οἶκος κυκλόθεν

The face of a man looked toward the palm tree on this side and on that side, and the face of a lion toward the palm tree on this side and on that side; the whole house all around was carved.

ἐκ τοῦ ἐδάφους ἕως τοῦ φατνώματος τὰ χερουβιν καὶ οἱ φοίνικες διαγεγλυμμένοι

From the floor up to the ceiling the cherubim and the palm trees were carved.

καὶ τὸ ἅγιον καὶ ὁ ναὸς ἀναπτυσσόμενος τετράγωνα κατὰ πρόσωπον τῶν ἁγίων ὅρασις ὡς ὄψις

And the sanctuary and the temple were opened out in a square form; before the holy place there appeared something like the appearance of it.

θυσιαστηρίου ξυλίνου πηχῶν τριῶν τὸ ὕψος αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ μῆκος πηχῶν δύο καὶ τὸ εὖρος πηχῶν δύο καὶ κέρατα εἶχεν καὶ ἡ βάσις αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ τοῖχοι αὐτοῦ ξύλινοι καὶ εἶπεν πρός με αὕτη ἡ τράπεζα ἡ πρὸ προσώπου κυρίου

There was a wooden altar-table, its height three cubits and its length two cubits and its width two cubits, and it had horns; and its base and its sides were of wood. And he said to me, 'This is the table that is before the face of the Lord.'

καὶ δύο θυρώματα τῷ ναῷ καὶ τῷ ἁγίῳ

And there were two doors for the temple and for the holy place.

δύο θυρώματα τοῖς δυσὶ θυρώμασι τοῖς στροφωτοῖς δύο θυρώματα τῷ ἑνὶ καὶ δύο θυρώματα τῇ θύρᾳ τῇ δευτέρᾳ

Two doors belonged to the two turning doors: two doors to the one and two doors to the second door.

καὶ γλυφὴ ἐπ' αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ θυρώματα τοῦ ναοῦ χερουβιν καὶ φοίνικες κατὰ τὴν γλυφὴν τῶν ἁγίων καὶ σπουδαῖα ξύλα κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ αιλαμ ἔξωθεν

And there was carving upon them and upon the doors of the temple, cherubim and palm trees according to the carving of the holy place; and stout woodwork was before the outer porch.

καὶ θυρίδες κρυπταί καὶ διεμέτρησεν ἔνθεν καὶ ἔνθεν εἰς τὰ ὀροφώματα τοῦ αιλαμ καὶ τὰ πλευρὰ τοῦ οἴκου ἐζυγωμένα

And there were recessed windows and measured work on this side and on that side toward the ceilings of the porch, and the side chambers of the house were framed in balance.
