Theme

The Lord's mighty works, covenant faithfulness, and enduring righteousness draw Hallelujah praise.

Translation & textual notes

The Greek text of Psalms 110 follows the standard critical text of the Septuagint as established in the Rahlfs-Hanhart edition (Septuaginta, rev. ed. 2006), an ancient and public-domain text; the critical apparatus is not reproduced. This Hallelujah psalm is a compact hymn of praise for the Lord's mighty works, covenant faithfulness, and enduring righteousness. It moves from full-hearted thanksgiving into reflection on the grandeur of the divine works, then celebrates remembered wonders, provision for those who fear him, and the gift of inheritance. The closing lines praise the firmness of the Lord's commands, his redemption of his people, and the truth that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Versification follows the LXX.
