Theme

The outpoured Spirit becomes the climactic reversal of Judah's distress.

Translation & textual notes

Joel 3 in the Septuagint presents the outpouring of the divine Spirit as the climactic reversal of Judah's distress. The chapter binds prophetic inspiration, cosmic portents, and Zion-centered deliverance into a single eschatological promise, extending the gift of revelation across age, sex, and social status while still locating rescue in the Lord's call from Jerusalem.
